In Dio’s Garage – SoJam 2011 Video Greetings

The trip was a long one. The expectations were high. The experience was incredible: SoJam A Cappella Festival 2011 for me was one of these rare, mind-boggling examples of a community celebrating their common love of “their thing”. This thing, contemporary a cappella, proved to be a synonym for people opening up to new ideas, different styles, new thoughts, sounds and beats.
You don’t believe ME? Then listen to some of THOSE who run this community, who have been working for SoJam for almost one decade. Or who have volunteered for CASA for almost two decades. This whole “thing” might be called an art form. But more than that, the act of singing together simply seems to bring out the best in people. Find some of the brightest examples of community movers and shakers talking about this phenomenon in the videos below. Thanks for so much inspiration by all of you, SoJam people!

I forgot what I commented exactly the first time, but basically: these videos are flippin amazing! They are so intimate and personal, I love how almost everyone is completely at ease and how all videos are under 1:30. They got me completely inspired to attend international festivals and foremost being more awesome in doing a cappella! I’m absolutely striving for success to the extend of singing at one of those international festivals.
This is one world-class (video-)blog my friend. I LOVE IT!
